SVT Drives Low-Carbon Agriculture with AWD Technique
On 16 January 2026, SVT, led by its Board of Directors and management team, organized a CSR activity under the project “Supporting Climate-Friendly Rice Farming” in Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani Province. The project was developed and implemented by Wave BCG Co., Ltd. in collaboration with “Lung Lek,” Mr. Suphan Thongpaisit, a model farmer from Pathum Thani Province, and Ms. Sethamanee Thila, Head of the Pathum Thani Provincial Farmers Council Office.
This activity aimed to promote rice cultivation using the Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) method, a water management approach for rice fields that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly methane, which is a major contributor to global warming. In addition, agricultural technologies and innovations were introduced to enhance cultivation efficiency, improve water-use efficiency, and help reduce production costs for farmers.
